This bag checked almost every box in my exhaustive search for a bag that with spinner wheels that can also fit as a personal item (under the seat) on most airplanes. I especially love the fact that the wheels are actually on a separate “dolly” which means I can choose to use it as a bag with or without wheels. I also really like the overall shape and the fact that while it does have some structure, it is also soft-sided to allow it to be smooshed down into a smaller shape, especially for tucking under aircraft seats. While I have not taken it on a flight yet, it seems like that should not be an issue. The front pockets are also very useful to help organize items. I also appreciate that it comes with three dividers that can be removed or reconfigured many different ways. The wheeled dolly is light, but very supportive and the fifth wheel really made it feel more stable. One tip in getting the wheels initially onto the base, I needed to use a rubber mallet to get enough force to pop them into place. That means I have no worries about them falling off unexpectedly. The dolly itself does fit inside the bag if you fold it up, but it does take up a significant amount of the space. I used it for the first time recently at a multi-day conference to schlep around my laptops, tech gear, snacks and tons of things I like to have with me for long conference days. I had tons of people ask me about my bag as they had never seen a bag like this style. My only teeny-tiny complaints are (a) I wish the dolly was shaped a little differently and that if the wheels were removed, it would be able to pack flatter and (b) the bag itself does not attach to the dolly except with the trolly sleeve which means if you want to pick up the bag while you have it on the dolly, it is a little awkward because you have to grab the dolly as well as the bag instead of just being able to grab the handles on the bag and the dolly lifting with it.Updated Review: One year later (Mar 2025) and I have now traveled extensively with this bag. I took it to Europe for 6+ weeks, it has been to several additional conferences and even the mean streets of NYC. I have taken it as my under-the-seat bag several times and it fits although not if it is stuffed full. Getting the zipper on the main compartment to close can be a little tricky when it is well stuffed and recently I have experienced a couple of issues with the zipper starting to come off the tracks, but luckily was able to just zip back over the area and it self healed. That feels like the biggest "risk" at this point. Because I like the overall design of the bag so much, this is probably a situation where if the zipper broke, I would totally take it to be repaired instead of discarding the bag. The connection points on the shoulder strap seem to detach unexpectedly, although not while I was carrying it. It was more a case of an angle that seemed to cause it to unlatch. For the last couple of trips, I swapped out the shoulder strap with a different one I have that had better latches. I will probably continue to do so, but I don't think it is a deal breaker. The pockets on the short sides are pretty loose, so I wouldn't recommend anything valuable in there. I usually stash the bottle of pop I buy at the airport. The overall size of the bag is very large, to the point that I sort of which it was a little smaller, but on the plus side, I often am carrying two laptops as well as a portable monitor, and all three items fit nicely laying on the bottom of the bag.
