Some context if you don't know about these pineapple cakes: they don't contain preservatives, which is why you historically couldn't get them in the US. They are fresh baked at the Chia Te bakery, and you have to line up to get them when you visit Taiwan. My family is Taiwanese and every trip to Taiwan, we used to pack our bags full of these to distribute to friends at home.I was so excited to find these on Amazon! We received our pineapple cakes on 12/14/22, with expiration date of 1/20/23. This gives us ~35 days shelf life -- Chia Te's recommendation is 40d shelf life so it took about 5d to get to us! That's super fast -- YMMV if you don't live so close to the west coast (we live in the SF bay area), but we were very impressed and will be ordering a lot more of these. When we placed the order we were resigned to having to eat them all within a week or two, so the fast turnaround was a pleasant surprise.Many thanks to the importer for making these available. We can't be the only taiwanese family excited to be able to get these on demand in the US. Buying tickets to Taiwan used to be the only way.
