A song Ray wrote, sang and recorded 'Lifetime Guarantee of Love', was on the biggest-selling dance compilation of 1977 on the Album 'New York City Discotheque vol. 3.' This record was arranged and co-produced by David Spinozza, who also played all the guitar parts and Tommy West, who produced all of Jim Croce's hits as well as Anne Murray. In 1976 Ray wrote and produced Street People for Vigor/Delite Records. Five singles from the group's debut album reached Billboards' top 100 R&B charts. In 2012 world-famous rapper REKS sampled ': Flippin A Coin' from that Street People album for his hit single 'Autographs'. Charlie Calello was the arranger for the Street People album. Another song from this album, 'Never Get Enough of Your Love', was covered by L.T.D. featuring Jeffrey Osborne in 1978 and was a Top Ten R&B hit record, and also crossed over to Billboard's Pop chart. The album 'Something to Love' was the group's first gold album and reached number 1 on billboard's Top 100 R&B album chart. The L.T.D. version was produced and arranged by Bobby Martin, a legendary member of the 'Sound of Philadelphia', where he produced and arranged countless hits by the The Three Degrees, the Intruders and Teddy Pendergrass among so many others. In 1996 Rhino Records released 'The Best Of The Moments', which contained two of Ray's four songs cut by the group. Ray's songs on the album were 'Just Because He wants To Make Love' and 'Gotta Find a Way' both hit singles on Billboars's R&B chart. In 2006 Lenny welch recorded a 10-song Smooth Jazz CD comprised of all Ray Dahrouge songs. The CD 'It's All About Love' was released by Figskee Records. In 2007 Ray wrote, sang and co-produced a 10 song Holiday CD titled 'It's Christmas Everywhere'. A few comments about Ray's work on his CD are listed below: 'Ray Dahrouge delivers a truly universal collection of original Christmas tunes proving once again that he's Jersey's Prime Minister of Soul'....Tommy West, artist, Cashman and West, producer Jim Croce, Anne Murray etc. 'A wonderful Christmas gift...Ray I don't know if I love your music, lyrics or your voice better, Maybe all three....Fred Caruso (producer, movies & television-'Days of Wrath', 'Dressed To Kill', 'The Rat Pack', 'Bonfire of the Vanities', 'Blue Velvet' & 'Network',etc. In 2011 Ray reunited with his friend of 50 years Sam Siciliano to form Durano Records and co-produced 'Ray and Darchaes 1961 to 2012'. The CD contains songs the group recorded between 1961 and 1965. They also co-produced 'Forever Friends' in 2012, a 5 song EP that Ray wrote. The group's great harmony is on display. Sam from 1961 was the one who gave each singer his part and arranged the harmony the group is so well known for. They sound better than ever thanks to Sam and contributions from his talented brother Patsy Siciliano. Also, more currently Ray had two of his hit dance songs he recorded on his 1979 Ploydor album remixed by world-famous Glenn Rivera, know for his Restructure Disco Video Mixes. The songs from Ray's 'Rendezvous With Destiny' album are 'Steppin' Out', and 'I Can See Him Making Love To You, Baby'. Both were remixed and released in 2012. Finally, Ray's latest CD is 'Ray Dahrouge/Gift Of Desire'. A 10 song CD written, sung and produced over the last few years. The songs are some of the very latest, and touch on topics such as 'Truth', 'Blessings', 'Vision', 'Getting Older' and 'Sex'. Listen and enjoy.
