DESCRIPTION
More than a tool, it's an heirloom! Nestled in its special box, this 3-piece DeWit Tool Gift Set makes a great presentation. The perfect gift for the avid gardener in your life. Set of three genuine DeWit tools to make your gardening chores easy! Includes 3-Tine Cultivator along with the ever-popular Forged Trowel and Forged Hand Fork. Constructed of hand-forged, tempered boron steel with ash hardwood handles. On April 1, 1898, Willem DeWit started his blacksmith company in a small village in northern Holland. Today, the 4th generation of the forging family is running the company. Old-Fashioned quality combined with innovative designs make DeWit the ultimate gardener's choice. Using the latest equipment and techniques combined with historical craftsmanship make DeWit one of the most respected garden tool manufacturers in the world. DeWit tools are made from high quality Swedish Boron Steel. European Ash hardwood handle is strong but lightweight, and also has elasticity so the tool can bend without breaking. The Ash hardwood comes from FSC (forest stewardship council) certified forests. Tierra Garden is proud to offer these superior tools in the United States!

I don't have much experience with cheaper tools-maybe they'd work just as well; but these are certainly well-made and sturdy. I believe in buying the best tools you can afford: a cheap tool is usually an expensive tool. The trowel comes pretty dull, so get a good file, if you don't already have one, and be ready to sharpen it up. Also, these are not stainless-steel tools: they will rust if not looked after. Take care of them, and you'll be passing them on to your grandchildren.
